  • The Jets have 25 passing plays of 20 or more yards on offense, 27th in the league.
  • 28.6% of the Jets scoring plays have been touchdowns, the lowest rate in the league. The next closest team is at 42.1%.

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

C.J. Stroud: Stroud faced his strongest pass defense of the past month and came away with mixed results.

On the good side, he averaged 10.1 yards per pass attempt.

On the negative side, he completed just 59.3% of his passes, posting his highest inaccurate target rate (22.2%) in a game since Week 6.

Stroud left a couple of potential touchdowns on the table due to inaccurate throws (Nico Collins also dropped a touchdown), which caused him to end the week as QB14 (16.1 points).

Stroud will get another tough draw here against a Jets defense that is allowing 6.2 yards per pass attempt (second), 9.9 yards per completion (fourth), and a 62.0% completion rate (eighth). The Jets are allowing 10.4 passing points per game (third).

New York has allowed two top-10 scoring quarterbacks all season.

Houston also has their lowest implied team total for a game since Week 6.

You do not have to run out and stream for Stroud in 1QB leagues, but this is a week here I would temper expectations for a spike week if you have been holding a strong pivot. Gamers may have run into Stroud in the season with another good quarterback on their roster.
