Motivation or Rest Alert
The Titans are currently in the driver’s seat for the top seed in the AFC and secure the No. 1 seed with a win Sunday. Given that Tennessee already lost to Houston back in Week 11, they will not overlook this rematch.
Houston has long been eliminated from the postseason.
Quarterback
Ryan Tannehill: Tannehill wasn’t asked to do much on Sunday, attempting a season-low 18 passes in a blowout win over Miami. Tannehill has not thrown for more than 209 yards since these teams met in Week 11 and he has not registered a QB1 scoring week since Week 10. Tannehill is stuck in 2QB territory, but Houston does offer some matchup appeal, allowing 7.9 yards per pass attempt (29th) while ranking middle of the league in touchdown rate (4.5%, 17th) and passing points allowed per attempt (0.44, 19th).
