NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.

Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.

The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.

When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.

The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.

Slate Breakdown

The Los Angeles Chargers are heading to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders as 3-point underdogs. The total is set at 34.

The Chargers will be without Justin Herbert for the rest of the season and will now be missing Keenan Allen for at least this game.

On the other side of the ball, the Raiders have both of their stars Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams entering Thursday still questionable.

This game is shaping up to fully embody the spirit of December Showdown slates.

The Raiders are still 3-point home favorites and likely keep that spread if at least one of their top two options suits up.

Aidan O’Connell is the preferred option over Easton Stick, which means our lineups are going to focus on stacking the Raiders.

Injury Notes

  • Justin Herbert – Finger – Out
  • Keenan Allen – Heel – Out
  • Donald Parham – Shoulder – Questionable
  • Josh Jacobs – Quad – Questionable
  • Davante Adams – Illness – Questionable

Los Angeles Chargers Offense

Tier 1 DFS Showdown Plays:

Austin Ekeler $11,000 –

Ekeler will be the main constant in Week 15 for the Chargers. If Los Angeles has any success, it will most likely be due to Ekeler as either a rusher or a receiver. With Allen sidelined, he should pick up some more involvement in the passing game. He’s the primary run-back for Raiders-heavy builds.
