NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.
Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.
The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.
When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.
The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.

Slate Breakdown
The Seattle Seahawks are heading to Dallas to take on the Cowboys as 9.5-point underdogs. The total is set at 47.
Geno Smith has struggled mightily over the last two weeks. The absence of Kenneth Walker didn’t help last week, though it likely wouldn’t have mattered against the stout 49ers defense. The Cowboys won’t be offering much relief, as they’re only allowing 16.8 points per game to opposing offenses. Dallas’ offense is firing on all cylinders, having averaged over 42 points in the last three weeks. Seattle should be able to do just enough offensively to keep Dallas engaged.

Tier 1 DFS Showdown Plays:
Geno Smith $9,200 –
On one hand, Smith has played poorly in the last two games. On the other hand, he is far too cheap for a quarterback who is more than capable of hitting the 300-yard-bonus in an up-tempo matchup. As a 9.5-point road underdog, he isn’t worth rostering at captain, but he’s a flex staple.
