NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.
Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.
The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.
When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.
The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.

Slate Breakdown
The Denver Broncos are heading to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs as 10.5-point underdogs.
The Chiefs have been a difficult offense to project thus far, but it seems as though their wide receiver corps has shaken out.
The Broncos are still looking to find their rhythm at 1-4. They’ve scored over 30 points twice while failing to crack 21 in the rest of their games.
Russell Wilson came on as a rusher last week and has demonstrated the ability to reach the 300-yard-bonus this season, but he hinders our ability to heavily stack the Chiefs.
Injury Notes
- Travis Kelce – ankle – questionable
- Greg Dulcich – hamstring – probable

Russell Wilson $9,600 –
Wilson has been a mixed bag this season, but he’s dangerous to omit given he has hit the 300-yard-bonus twice in 5 weeks and will be passing all game. The concern is that his price paired with the fact that he needs to be at least single-stacked stacked makes it difficult to heavily stack the Chiefs.
