NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.
Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.
The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.
When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.
The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.
Slate Breakdown
Outside of Justin Jefferson, the Vikings offense struggled in Week 1 against a Buccaneers defense that was expected to get exposed.
Now they head to Philadelphia as 7-point underdogs in a game with a 48.5-point total.
Given the pricing, the Eagles will be less popular than they should be. The Vikings have multiple productive options at similar price points to the Eagles' ancillary pieces that we aren’t as excited about.
Even still, we will want to find a way to stack Jalen Hurts as history shows the most likely outcome for an optimal lineup includes more pieces from the winning team.

Jalen Hurts – $11,400
Hurts’ performance last week was terrible relative to his expectations, but it shouldn’t affect his projection much this week. He’s a 7-point home favorite in a game that can easily surpass 50 total points against a team that can keep up. He couldn’t be set up any better for a fantasy bounceback.
