NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.
Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.
The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.
When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.
The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.

Slate Breakdown
The Jacksonville Jaguars are heading to New Orleans to take on the Saints as 2.5-point underdogs. The 40.5-point total is the lowest of any showdown slate this season.
Both quarterbacks are expected to play injured. Both teams have a couple of quality offensive performances under their belts that indicate the over can hit quite easily if these signal-callers are healthier than expected.
While the talk revolves mostly around the low total, there are at least 10 players projected for over 10 points. There is a ton of room for creativity on this slate.
Injury Notes
Trevor Lawrence – Knee – Questionable
Derek Carr – Chest – Questionable
Zay Jones – Knee – Out

Tier 1 DFS Showdown Plays:
Travis Etienne $10,200 –
Etienne's 80% snap share makes for one of the strongest workloads in the league. He’s earned over 20 opportunities in all but one game. He’s also scored four times in the last two weeks. Even at over $10,000, he’s one of the best values on the slate.
