Bust = down-week production for that player’s standards
Quarterback
Justin Herbert (TRUST): After two down games, Herbert bounced back to torch the Eagles, completing 32-of-38 passes for 356 yards and two scores while adding a rushing touchdown. When Herbert has hit, he has hit big. Herbert has now been first or second in weekly scoring three times this season to go along with four weeks as the QB18 or lower.
Herbert draws a Minnesota defense that has played well this season, generating pressure on 27.8% of dropbacks (third) and tied for second in the league with 27 sacks. They are fourth in the league in completion rate allowed (61.8%), but do give up big plays when passers connect, ranking 19th in yards allowed per pass attempt and 25th in yards allowed per completion (12.0 yards).
Minnesota has had a favorable draw, facing Cooper Rush, Sam Darnold, Jared Goff, and Baker Mayfield in half of their games. They are also entering Week 10 continuing to lose pieces defensively. After losing Patrick Peterson and Danielle Hunter in recent weeks, Minnesota will be without Harrison Smith due to COVID again this week.
Herbert has been hyper-volatile, but the highs have been league-winning while he is at home here attached to a lofty team total against a banged-up defense that has consistently played in shootouts on the road.
