AFC Championship Game Prediction: Xavier Worthy More Than 55.5 Rush & Receiving Yards
Xavier Worthy’s floor has been exceedingly high since the last game these two teams played back in Week 11.
In the 8 games that counted for the Chiefs since then, Worthy has hit at least 41 receiving yards in every game.
He’s averaged 55 receiving yards per game, many of which came against pass defenses superior to the Bills.
In fact, over the Chiefs' last 8 games, they’ve played 7 pass defenses stronger than the Bills' #18 ranked pass defense including four games against teams with top-five ranked pass defenses.
Buffalo is dealing with injuries to their secondary.
Additionally, Worthy is aligning far more frequently in the slot, and the Bills rank #30 in yards/target allowed to slot receivers (9.2).
Worthy has added 42 rushing yards over the last four games that counted for the Chiefs (10.5 per game), and the way the Bills have been using linebackers to mirror Mahomes in the pocket, it wouldn’t surprise me if Buffalo’s over-commitment to Mahomes resulted in a Worthy run gaining more yards than it should with a LB out of position.
