Week 14 Prediction: Calvin Ridley More Than 64.5 Receiving Yards
Will Levis injured his shoulder but played through it from Week 4 to Week 6 before getting shut down.
When he returned in Week 10, he faced the following defenses:
- Chargers
- Vikings
- Texans
- Commanders
Against the pass, these defenses rank #3, #4, #9, and #13.
The Jaguars rank #32.
They play the LEAST zone coverage on early downs of any defense and the MOST man coverage. That has shifted some over the last five to six weeks, with the team playing more two-high, but they still play the #8 most man coverage over the last month of the season.
Since returning from injury, Levis averages +0.48 EPA/att with a 44% success rate and 9.4 yards per attempt when facing man coverage.
The Jaguars get pressure at the #30 rate and blitz at the #32 rate.
They do very little to actually stiffen up a QB and put him under stress.
This is NIGHT and DAY compared to what Levis has faced since his return.
And Levis has actually performed extremely well from a clean, unpressured pocket since his return: +0.28 EPA/att (#10) and 8.8 YPA (#5).
All of this bodes well for Calvin Ridley.
Against man coverage, Ridley receives targets on 30% of his routes, and Levis has solid accuracy when throwing against man coverage.
Ridley has 47% of the Titans' air yardage, which is the most of any receiver in the NFL.
Against his former team, this is a perfect spot for Ridley to have a big game.
