Week 16 Prediction: James Conner More Than 79.5 Rushing Yards
Three running backs on the Cardinals have at least 10 rushes in 2024:
- James Conner with 217
- Trey Benson with 63
- Emari Demercado with 24
All of those rushers also are averaging at least 4.5 yards per carry.
Demercado went on injured reserve following Week 13’s game.
Benson injured his ankle last week and has yet to practice in any capacity this week.
Last week, the team played DeeJay Dallas on third downs.
If Benson cannot go, they will likely elevate Michael Carter from the practice squad.
Dallas and Carter should only be used to spell Conner, who is set to face the NFL’s #32 run defense.

And the scary part is, they are getting worse.
Last week, they gave up 149 rushing yards to Rico Dowdle at 6.0 YPC.
They gave up 124 rushing yards to Saquon Barkley the prior week at 6.2 YPC.
Before that, they gave up 152 rushing yards to Bucky Irving at 6.1 YPC.
Earlier in November, they gave up 155 rushing yards to Alvin Kamara at 5.3 YPC and 103 rushing yards to Tyrone Tracy Jr. at 5.7 YPC.
