The Chicago Bears (+240) are another team with a proud running back history led by Walter Payton. New coach Ben Johnson had a dominant backfield in Detroit led by David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, the latter being a high pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, Johnson knows that a running back is only ever as good as his offensive line, and there's a good chance that the Bears will opt for an offensive tackle with the No. 10 pick to help protect franchise quarterback Caleb Williams.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints both sit at +900 odds to take Ashton Jeanty in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, we don't expect the Jaguars to use their pick to go running back after drafting Travis Etienne in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. As for the Saints, we expect them to focus more on the defensive side of the ball with their first pick. Cornerback Will Johnson makes a lot of sense.

The Dallas Cowboys (+1500) missed out on Derrick Henry (Ravens) last year in free agency after not paying Tony Pollard, and they lost Rico Dowdle to the Panthers this year, leaving them without much talent at the running back position. We know owner Jerry Jones loves having a dominant running back in the fold. But the Cowboys may have more pressing needs at No. 12 after a 7-10 finish.
