After an exciting NFL divisional round weekend, the final four teams competing for Super Bowl LIX are the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, and Washington Commanders. The oddsmakers seem to think a rematch from two years ago is very possible between the Chiefs and Eagles.
Our Super Bowl preview will break down what makes each team a worthy contender to consider placing futures bets on to win it all in New Orleans this February. We also have details on some exciting promo offers to get bonus bets for the NFL playoffs.
Super Bowl Preview: Best Bets and Current Odds
The current Super Bowl odds do not see the Chiefs as the favorites to win it all, but they are close behind the new favorite.
Philadelphia Eagles
(+180 at FanDuel)
The Eagles (16-3) are one home win away from returning to their second Super Bowl under coach Nick Sirianni, but they’ll first have to defeat a Washington team that is the only team to beat them since October.
- In games started and finished by Jalen Hurts since 2023, the Eagles are 5-0 against the Commanders (3-0), Chiefs (1-0), and Bills (1-0).
- While the Eagles are very successful with Saquon Barkley’s rushing, they are 9-0 this season when they have at least 190 net passing yards.
- The Eagles are 14-0 in games that Hurts and A.J. Brown both start and finish this year.
- Vic Fangio’s defense has not allowed more than 23 points in any home game and held Washington to a season-low 18 points in Week 11.
- Risk: Jalen Hurts was injured on a sack against the Rams on Sunday.
Kansas City Chiefs
(+240 at BetMGM)
The Chiefs (16-2) led wire-to-wire in their 23-14 win over the Texans where they sacked C.J. Stroud eight times. But like the Eagles, they must avenge their only loss to the last team to beat their starters in the Bills this week if they are to three-peat.
- The Chiefs have lost in the regular season in four straight seasons to Buffalo but are still 3-0 in the playoffs against them.
- The Chiefs already defeated Philadelphia 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII.
- Kansas City has won eight consecutive playoff games and 16 consecutive games decided by one score (NFL record).
- Kansas City just set an NFL record with eight straight games without a turnover.
- Risk: Buffalo is the only team to score 30 points against the Chiefs’ starters since 2023.
Buffalo Bills
(+250 at FanDuel)
The Bills (15-4) avenged their 35-10 loss to the Ravens with a thrilling 27-25 win. But they must overcome a Kansas City team they have yet to beat in the playoffs.
- The Bills have not lost the turnover battle in 21 straight games, a modern NFL record.
- Buffalo is +16 in fumble recovery margin, the second-best mark since 2000.
- The Bills have just eight giveaways in 19 games this season, an NFL record.
- The Bills are the only offense in NFL history with 30 passing and 30 rushing touchdowns in a season.
- Risk: Buffalo hasn’t won a road playoff game since the 1992 season (0-3 in Josh Allen era).
Washington Commanders
(+750 at Caesars Sportsbook)
The Commanders (14-5) are the only road team to win in the postseason this year. They are also the only team to beat Philadelphia in its last 15 games.
- Jayden Daniels is the only rookie quarterback to ever throw for over 250 yards and multiple touchdowns in consecutive road playoff wins.
- Daniels threw five touchdowns in a comeback win against the Eagles this year.
- The 2024 Commanders are the third team in NFL history to score at least 18 points in 19 consecutive games in a single season.
- Coach Dan Quinn led the 2016 Falcons to Super Bowl LI.
- Risk: No rookie quarterback has ever started a Super Bowl.
