Travis Hunter is an elite prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft after he won the 2024 Heisman Trophy as a two-way sensation at wide receiver and cornerback. He hopes to play both sides of the ball in the pros, too, but that lofty goal could actually hurt his NFL Draft projection if it scares teams away from him.

Travis Hunter NFL Draft Odds

You can find several betting markets for Travis Hunter and other top 2025 NFL Draft prospects at DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s look at three of the best Travis Hunter NFL Draft markets available now.

Travis Hunter Overall Pick Odds

One of the top betting markets is predicting when Travis Hunter will be drafted in terms of the exact pick number. Originally, many NFL Draft analysts thought the CB/WR phenom could go as early as No. 1 overall, but that looks like a stretch in the final leadup to the draft.

That said, here are the current DraftKings NFL Draft odds for Travis Hunter regarding the exact overall pick (remember, the team that currently holds the pick could change if there are any last-minute trades).

  • No. 1 pick, Tennessee Titans (+2500)
  • No. 2 pick, Cleveland Browns (+220)
  • No. 3 pick, New York Giants (-200)
  • No. 4 pick, New England Patriots (+350)
  • No. 5 pick, Jacksonville Jaguars (+1500)

1st Cornerback Drafted Odds

DraftKings also has odds for the first cornerback selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Here are the top five candidates:

  • Travis Hunter, Colorado (-10000)
  • Will Johnson, Michigan (+1600)
  • Jahdae Barron, Texas (+2200)
  • Azareye’h Thomas, Florida State (+10000)
  • Maxwell Hairston, Kentucky (+10000)

No disrespect to a talent like Will Johnson, who should go high in the draft, too, but according to most NFL insiders, NFL mock drafts, and NFL Draft odds, Hunter is practically a lock to be the first cornerback selected at -10000 odds. There's not much value to be had there, but this is about as close to a sure thing as it gets in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Which Team Will Draft Travis Hunter?

As we said, Hunter should absolutely be a top-five pick in this 2025 NFL draft, and the odds reflect that. Whether you want to play him at cornerback, wide receiver, or both, you don’t want to be the team remembered as having passed on a generational talent like Travis Hunter.

But out of the teams with the top five picks, it’s clearly the ones without a huge quarterback need who are most interested in Hunter. Here are the Travis Hunter NFL Draft odds for where he lands:

  • New York Giants (-200)
  • Cleveland Browns (+220)
  • New England Patriots (+350)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (+1700)
  • Tennessee Titans (+3000)

Travis Hunter NFL Draft Preview

At this point, it's pretty much settled that the Titans will take quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick in the draft. Right now, the Giants and Patriots are the most likely picks considering the odds, and Cleveland is also a realistic option with the No. 2 pick if they pass on Abdul Carter and Shedeur Sanders.

Hunter could very well be the highest-drafted Colorado player, and New York is looking more and more like the perfect destination for the offensive and defensive playmaker. The Giants recently signed veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, which is probably a signal that they aren't in the market for a quarterback with their No. 3 draft pick.

It feels important to note that the NFL draft sites and sportsbooks are treating Hunter as a cornerback over a wide receiver. He has stated his goal is to do both at the next level, as he did during his Heisman campaign at Colorado, where he averaged well over 100 snaps per game. However, no one’s really done that in the NFL in the modern era (post-World War II), which leads to some uncertainty about his future position.

It would seem the most logical that Hunter could be a full-time corner who is used as a package player at wide receiver, which is something Deion Sanders, Hunter’s coach at Jackson State and Colorado, did in the NFL, most notably with the Dallas Cowboys in the 1990s. According to some NFL insiders, most NFL teams think his upside is a bit higher at cornerback.

Travis Hunter NFL Draft Betting Tips

No defensive back has been drafted No. 1 overall since Gary Glick in 1956. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is heavily favored to go first overall to the Titans, which makes sense.

Hunter certainly has a shot to go to the Browns. Still, they are favored to take dynamic edge rusher Abdul Carter, which means Hunter is the favorite to go third to the Giants. For us, this pick makes too much sense, and even more so since the Giants recently signed two veteran free-agent quarterbacks (Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson).

So, if you are going to wager on Travis Hunter's NFL draft position, we recommend laying the Giants at -200.

Hunter could also go to New England, but we don't think +350 is a good enough value. Travis Hunter is simply too good of a player for the Browns and Giants to pass up with the second and third picks, respectively.

No matter how you slice it, Hunter won't get past the first five picks, but he probably won't be the No. 1 pick either, as Tennessee is set on fixing its quarterback issues with Cam Ward.
